T.A.M Marketing started out in 1973 by Terry Marriott who was a representative for a National chemical company. After Many years with them he was advised by one of their Chemists that he had decided to start his own manufacturing company, Merlin Chemicals Ltd and asked Terry to become a supplier. Initially working from home the business grew and a unit on Marsh Barton Trading estate was acquired.
Another rep was soon employed and as the company expanded, his daughter Julie joined and in 1998 the company became ltd. Having out grown the initial unit, a warehouse some 3 times larger was obtained and with 8 staff the business is now run from there.
Terry sadly passed away in 2011 and the company is now run by Julie. In the last few years her daughter, Shireen has taken on a lot of the responsibility meaning the company will be in its third generation, something Terry would be very proud of.
Over the years we have increased our suppliers and stock holding still keeping Merlin Chemicals as one of our main suppliers, although today it is part of the Holchem Group.
We are very much old school always putting the customer first and doing everything possible to fulfil their needs.
Today we offer many extras to our customers free of charge, such as COSHH training and kitchen cleaning schedules. Much of this is due to the excellent support of our suppliers and the quality products they supply.
